Adventure Orkney – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Adventure Orkney. By booking a tour or using our services, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Liability

• All participants are responsible for bringing their own appropriate gear, including suitable clothing and footwear.

• For hiking and sea swimming activities:

  • Participants must be reasonably fit and able to hike for 2–3 hours.

  • Sea swimmers must be confident in open water.

• Adventure Orkney holds public liability insurance, but we strongly recommend that all guests obtain personal travel insurance to cover unforeseen events or cancellations.

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change and aim to be fair and transparent.

• A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings.

• The remaining balance is invoiced 60 days before the tour date.

• Cancellations made more than 30 days before the tour will result in loss of the deposit only.

• Cancellations made within 30 days of the tour are non-refundable, and the full balance will be charged.

• No-shows or same-day cancellations are non-refundable.

• If Adventure Orkney needs to cancel a tour due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule.

• We understand that cruise itineraries can change. If your cruise line alters the schedule in a way that affects your tour, we’ll do our best to work with you to reschedule or provide a refund in line with this policy.

We recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected circumstances.

3. Currencies & Payments

• All prices are charged in GBP (British Pounds).

• A £100 deposit is required to secure bookings, with the remaining balance due 60 days prior to the tour date.

• Tours can be booked online via a secure payment link.

• Accepted payment methods:

  • PayPal

  • Credit/Debit Cards

  • Google Pay

  • Apple Pay

• For private taxi hire, we also accept cash or card payments in person.

4. Copyright

• All content on this website, including photos, logos, text, and tour descriptions, is protected under copyright.

• No content may be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

• Guests are welcome to share their own tour photos on social media — just remember to tag @AdventureOrkney so we can join the fun!

5. Data Protection & Privacy Policy

Adventure Orkney is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

• We collect personal data (e.g., names, email addresses, phone numbers, and payment details) solely for booking and communication purposes.

• We use Wix as our email marketing platform.

• We will never share your personal data with third parties.
